Spartan

We did a Sparten race . Everyone but dad ran a race . The race was in Hollister California . We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Johns. When we got there we had to wait in a long line to get our race numbers. Mom's registration line went really fast but the kids line was slow moving. Once we got in ( like 15 minutes later ) we had to find moms start line first. Her race started a little late but it was fun for us to all get to watch her start. Mom ran a 5k with 20 obstacles.
Next, we headed off to find ET’s race. ET had to run half a mile with a few obstacles. ET, was one of the youngest racers in his group. Dad ran along the side encouraging ET to keep going. ET ran hard and finished strong. He is still proud of his finisher medal.
The 3rd race was MJ’s and SP’s . They ran a one mile with multiple obstacles. MJ finishef before SP but they were not that far apart. They had a lot of fun. They also both got finisher medals.
We were watching the clock a new mom should be finishing soon so we went over to her finish line area. We were able to spot mom and see her do her last 3 obstacles and finish her race. Mom and SP, MJ, and ET took a finisher photo with their medals. I still needed to do my race.
I had to run 2 miles. I had to run the same loop that MJ and SP did but twice. I had do a lot of obstacles. I had to pull sand bags up with a pully, climb up walls,ropes and more. To me the hardest was the rope climbs the easiest was the walls .
We all had a blast at the Spartan Race and can't wait for the next one. JJ 😜

🔥🦔The Seven Wonders and Fire Wave Loop🔥

Hey, JJ here we are at Valley of Fire State Park. We have been here for almost a week. I am going to tell you about a really cool trail that we did . It was the 7 wounders and fire wave loop trail. It's 2.3 miles long It  was really cool.  Just a little ways down the trail there was a really cool wave of color on the rock. The colors were white, red, purple, and a lot more. Then we arrived at some small slot canyons . We did poses where our hands are on one side and our feet are on the other side. I was on top SP was under me MJ was under him and ET was on the ground. Farther down the trail there is the fire wave. It is all red with white  stripes. I didnt like it as much as the first wave because it didnt have as many colors.(see picture)   I thought the trail was really fun, I would definitely do it again.  JJ

🦔Dantes Peak & Zabriskies Point

Dantes peak sunset Have you ever watched the sunset before? Have you ever watched the full moon rise before? What about at the same time? We were lucky enough to do this.  The sun set Dantes Peak On our Last trip to Death Valley we did a hike called Dantes peak to see the  sunset and the full moon rise.  Sun set - Bad Water's below First off we had to drive up as high as we could. The road was pretty steep at a 15% grade. Once we made it to the top and parked, we walked all around to see the different views. We saw some really cool views of Bad Water's salt flats. Than we hiked up the mountain to the highest peak to find a spot to watch the sunset. The salt flats look so big from where we were. We found the perfect spot overlooking the flats . I found the perfect rock to sit on to watch the sunset in the West and the full moon rise in the East.The sunset was so pretty. It was really neat to watch the last rays of the sun set.
